Line tool photoshop shortcut

If graphics and images form part of your professional workflow, Adobe Photoshop likely is one of your primary software resources.

When you use Photoshop's shape tools, you are creating vector graphics in the middle of a bitmapped image-editing application. The Photoshop Line tool draws individual line segments, complete with stylistic options.

Don't confuse its output with that of the Pen tool, which you use to create paths that contain neither fill color nor outlining strokes. Once you create shapes with the Line tool, you can edit their appearance in the same Photoshop panel you use to set parameters before you draw.

1. Switch to the Adobe Photoshop Line tool, nested with the Rectangle and other shape tools.

   In the Options bar, verify that the Tool Mode selector's drop-down menu shows "Shape" as its current setting, rather than Path or Pixels. To change the settings for an existing line, click on your artwork with the "Path Selection" tool.
